Midnight A.K.A. Stormi's Story

Hi! I’m Midnight A.K.A. Stormi!

** in a foster home, an approved application is required for a meet and greet**

Intake type: Transfer from Gordy & Friends
D.O.B.: 3/4/23
Breed: hound mix
Gender: spayed female
Weight: 30 lbs

I’m a sweet, brindle-beauty with big brown eyes that are sure to melt your heart. I love meeting new people and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by my friends soaking up all the love and having fun.

I enjoy adventures where I can put my nose to work. I’ve decided to make it my personal goal to turn every walk into a sniffari. Every leaf, fence post, and mysterious smell must be properly investigated, so I hope you enjoy long walks! When it's finally time to head back home, I'm happy to spend the evening relaxing with my favorite people. And by with, I mean on, because I absolutely do not believe in this silly little thing called personal space. I love to cuddle, and I take that job very seriously. In fact, my favorite cuddle spot is in my foster moms bed... specifically on her head, but next to her, on a nice pile of pillows will also do. She tells her friends that I literally have to be touching her at all times, and she's right because I just love to be that close to my people. I’m usually a pretty quiet gal, but if you wake me up early and try to get me out of bed before I’m ready, I will whine and bark at you until you get back in bed.... cuddle time is not over until I say it is, so I hope your boss is okay with you being a little late for work!

Because I love being with my people so much, I can get a little sad when I'm left home for errands I can’t attend. My foster mom thinks having another doggy friend in my forever home would really help me feel more comfortable when my people aren't home. Plus, a girl could always use more friends! Speaking of friends, I'd also love some human kiddos to play with too! I do seem to have a prey drive towards small critters due to my hound dog instincts. So, a home without kitties or small furry/feathery friends like bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens, etc. is best. As always, a meet and greet is required if you have other pups or kiddos in your home to be sure we can all be the best of friends!

Remember how I love to use my nose? Well, I have a tiny confession. My nose sometimes gets me into a bit of trouble, specifically in the kitchen. If there is food anywhere within my reach, I promise you I will do my best to find a way to get to it. nfact, I may or may not have been caught red-pawed gobbling down a whole box of treats recently. I couldn't help it. They just smelled soooo good. The belly ache was totally worth it.....All I have to say is it might be a good idea for my new family to invest in some locks for the pantry and fridge lol

I've spent most of my previous life living in a crate, so I'm still getting the hang of potty training, but my foster mom has been a huge help. With a consistent routine, I've been doing so good going potty outside, and I haven’t had any accidents in a few days. My new family will need to be willing to continue working on this with me. I’m a smart girl and eager to keep learning, so hopefully, I'll be fully potty trained in no time!

If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, adventure-loving cuddle bug, I might just be the girl for you!

https://www.hornellanimalshelter.org/Adoptionprocessandfees
