Meet Midnight

Hi! My name is Midnight, I think I’m about 4 years old and I have quite a story! See I went through a program down south, I think the humans call it the A Prison Trained Dog. This means I was trained in a prison system by a specific person looking for their second chance too! Unfortunately I was a little nervous in large crowds so I didn’t pass fully. So, I was so lucky to go to a home to help a disabled veteran and keep him company and comfort him when he was sad. One day though he wasn’t there and the people told me that he had died and before I knew it I was in this big scary cold place with lots and lots of dogs. I’m told that for dogs that look like me, it’s a death sentence, whatever that means! Next thing you know I’m in a long car ride and end up here with my foster mom and her little human! I just love them so much! I want to spend all my time snuggling them and making them happy! That’s my true goal in life. My foster mom says I’m pretty perfect, calls me pretty pittie and tells me I’m a good girl because I go potty outside, I don’t chew anything and I don’t have any food aggression.

I am about 60 lbs and get so excited when my people come home so a home with older kids would be perfect. I really hope there’s a family out there that will love me as much as I love them!

Adopters must live within a 100-mile radius of Joliet, IL to be considered. The adoption fee is $425. This covers all shots, spay/neutering and microchip.

To be considered for this dog. Please fill out an application here: https://www.pawsup4rescue.org/dog-cat-applicaiton

Our adoption process typically takes from one to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalizing the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for up to 1 year and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
