Micki (and Yogi) Maltese & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Austin, TX

Micki will be adopted with his friend Yogi. They've grown up together since Micki was born and they prefer to be near each other. They often sleep together in the same bed and will play together. Micki is 6 years old and the more submissive of the two. He's somewhat housetrained but not fully aware of his bowels due to a spinal injury he had years ago. He had surgery and physical therapy, and he gets around well, but he does have nerve damage and weakness in his hind end and his legs can get a little tangled up. Possibly by the time he's into senior days he might need a cart. Because of this special needs, he is not fully aware of what's going on in the back end and will sometimes whizzle while he walks or have a poo without seeming to notice he's not outside. He is on Rimadyl daily for arthritis in his spine. Micki is a Mi-Ki, which is a relatively new companion breed developed back in the 1980s. It is believed that the Japanese Chin, Maltese, Papillon, Shih Tzu, and Yorkshire Terrier breeds were included in an effort to produce a small breed with an even temperament. He is a doll of a personality. Soft as a cloud too.
