Mickey's Story
Mickey — the oversized lap baby with a whole lot of love to give!

Mickey is a sweet young pup, born March 31, 2025, who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. He comes from a loving family home, but his current family knows he needs more time, attention, and activity than they’re able to give him right now.

Mickey is a big-hearted boy who loves his people hard. He’s affectionate, snuggly, and very attached to his family. If you sit down, Mickey may politely decide he is still a tiny baby and try to climb right into your lap. Personal space? Never heard of it.

He is potty trained, crate trained. He enjoys being outside and often prefers hanging out there, but when he’s tired, he also loves relaxing in his crate. He does not get on the furniture and knows how to sit.

Mickey has been good with kids and currently lives with a cat. Because of his size and young-dog enthusiasm, he can be a little rough with small children simply because he’s still figuring out his body awareness. He has not lived with other dogs, bu he may do well with a dog friend or a home where someone can give him more attention during the day.

Like many young dogs, Mickey is still learning his manners. He’s working on recall and listening skills, and he will need a home ready to keep helping him with training and structure. When he gets bored or doesn’t have enough mental stimulation, he may chew things, so puzzle toys, enrichment, exercise, and companionship will be important for this sweet boy.

Mickey is not neutered - yet! He is vaccinated and will be microchipped as part of his adoption.

Mickey would do best in a home that can give him attention, patience, consistency, and plenty to do. He’s a loving, loyal, goofy young dog who just needs the right family to help him grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be.

Could Mickey be your new adventure buddy and oversized cuddle bug?
