This 5-month-old Lab/Hound mix is ready to steal some hearts and find him a fur-ever home. While this unique breed mix brings the friendly, goofy and fun-loving energy of a lab, it also comes with the affectionate, loyal and independent hound personality. If you’re looking for a lovable family member with big ears and a bigger heart, this baby boy is ready to meet you!

Michigan mingles well with the adults, children, littermates and other dogs in foster care. He is playful but a bit shy when meeting new people. We haven’t had the chance to see how he interacts with cats. His favorite activities include playing outdoors with his littermates and snuggling on the couch. He has even made great progress with house training! He is a bit anxious when crated in the car and might not be the best companion for long car rides. This pretty prince knows what he wants and he will let you know—he can be vocal in play, in the crate, and especially when she wants something.

While this 5-month-old baby has impressed us so far, he still has a lot to learn, like household manners, basic commands and how to walk on a leash. Investing time into positive obedience training and socialization now will help puppies grow into an amazing adult dogs. It’s very rewarding and fun, too!

Are you ready to open your heart and home to sweet Michigan? We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
