Hi! My name is Miami and I am from Missouri!

From her foster: Miami (or Mimi as we've been calling her) is just the sweetest lady. She's the perfect older puppy age. She still has puppy silliness and some mischievous tendencies (like running off with a sock or a kiddo stuffed animal) but is easily redirected when given her own toys. She is housetrained on a schedule, she isn't letting us know when she needs to go out yet, but she does her business right away and has only had 1 accident in the almost week that she's been with us.

She was very timid when she first came to us, but always felt very comfortable and safe around our dog. While not a requirement, she would love to have a dog sibling. For a puppy, she is also pretty respectful of our older resident dog. He will play with her for a short time and let her know he's done and she'll leave him alone. She attached to me pretty quickly but took some time to feel comfortable around my husband and our 5 year old child. While Mimi loves kids, loud noises and sudden movements can make her feel uneasy. She would do best in a home with older or no children. When my son is calm, she loves to be around him and follow him around - so I think she will definitely get more comfortable with time. She has moderate energy (so great for a puppy!), she'll romp around the yard or we'll go for a walk and then she just chills and hangs out with us. She is a good walker and is feeling more and more comfortable out exploring. She recently discovered squirrels on our walks and thinks they are very interesting. =) At night, she has been sleeping on a dog bed in our room. She feels comfortable in her crate and has spent time in there when we aren't home. Mimi is so beautiful (she has the prettiest eyes!) and has such a sweet demeanor, she will be the perfect addition to a very lucky family!
