MIA's Story
Meet MIA: Your Couch Buddy, Cheese Connoisseur, and Loyal Best Friend

Some dogs make an entrance. MIA quietly steals your heart.

No one knows much about MIA'S life before she was found as a stray. We do know she was once a mama dog, and that nurturing spirit is still part of who she is today.

After spending far too long waiting in the shelter, she finally got the chance to decompress in a loving foster homeāand she's blossoming into the sweetest companion anyone could hope for.

MIA is a gentle, thoughtful soul. She's the kind of dog who doesnt rush through life. Instead, she watches, learns, and quietly figures things out. Every day she grows a little more confident, discovering what it means to simply be a beloved dog.

If youre looking for a velcro dog, MIA just might be your perfect match. At around 45 pounds, she's convinced she's a lap dog and would happily spend every evening curled up beside you. Her ideal night? A cozy spot on the couch, your favorite binge-worthy show on TV, and maybe sharing a few potato chips while soaking up every minute with her favorite person.

MIA is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She is already house-trained and crate-trained (she actually enjoys her crate for bedtime and quiet time) and is quickly picking up commands like sit, heel, come, and swing.

Her favorite training reward? String cheese or cheddar cheese sticks! She's the kind of student who genuinely wants to please you.

One of MIA'S best qualities is how well she settles into a routine. When left home alone, she may let out a few barks to let you know she'd rather you stay, but she quickly relaxes and patiently waits for you to return.

Like many rescued dogs, MIA can be a little picky about mealtime while she continues settling into her new life. We are still discovering her favorite foods, but one thing is certain: give her a stuffed bone to enjoy in her crate, and she's one happy girl.

MIA has also learned a great deal from her foster family's dog and would likely enjoy having a calm, confident canine companion to continue showing her the ropes. That said, she would be just as happy soaking up all of the love and attention as your one-and-only princess.

Every rescue dog needs a little time to adjust to a new home, and MIA is no exception. Give her patience, consistency, and kindness, and she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and a heart full of love.

If you've been searching for a best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side through movie nights, lazy Sundays, neighborhood walks, and all of life's everyday moments, MIA may be the missing piece your family has been waiting for.

She has waited long enough.

Now all she needs is someone to say, "Welcome home!"

MIA has not been cat tested.

Are you ready to give MIA the FUREVER home that she deserves?

If so, please complete our adoption application using the link below:

https://www.jotform.com/assign/220814400022133/220836139648059

Feel free to email us at forblakessakerescue@gmail.com with any questions
