MIA's Story

This little cutie is super sweet MIA, a 2-year-old, 7 pound, Yorkshire Terrier mix. Mia can be a bit timid at first when meeting new people and new dogs, but she warms up very quickly. Once she meets a dog, she loves being with them. She’s happy to share your lap and hang out with you. Mia also loves treats. Mia loves to play with toys, walks well on a leash, and prefers to sleep on/in the bed with her foster parents. She is crate trained but really doesn’t like it much. Mia is mostly housebroken; if it’s cold and snowy outside she prefers to use potty-pads.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Mia must have another dog in the home to play with and for confidence, and a securely fenced-in yard. Mia is used to having her people home more than not so she is not a candidate for adoption to a household who is gone a full day; she handles no more than four hours.

Mia was surrendered by her owners, along with two other dogs, after their family's home was destroyed by fire on New Years Eve day and they had no place to live. She has lived with adults and teenagers. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request at acaringplace@comcast.net
