Mia's Story

Meet Mia, a 2-year-old Mixed Breed weighing 56 pounds, with a heart as big as her goofy smile. If you're looking for a dog who's always ready for a game of fetch, Mia is your girl.

This sweet, affectionate pup absolutely adores her people and loves being wherever they are. She has a playful spirit that's impossible to miss. Fetch is her favorite game, and she never says no to toys, sturdy chew bones, sticks, or a fun car ride. In fact, Mia loves to play so much that she'll happily keep the fun going until someone reminds her it's time for a break!

Mia is both house trained and crate trained, but she's such a trustworthy girl that she can be left loose in the house. Her favorite place to nap? Her crate, with the door wide open. She's already mastered sit, lay, paw, and high five, and she's always eager to learn more if treats and praise are involved.

She would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely burn off her energy. Loud noises, especially construction sounds, still make her nervous, and she's not a fan of water spraying from the garden hose. A fenced yard gives her the confidence to run, play, and enjoy life without those scary distractions.

Mia absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine companion. She can be a little overenthusiastic during introductions because she's just so excited to make a new friend, so a patient, playful dog who appreciates her exuberance would be the perfect match.

While Mia hasn't lived with children during her time in our care, she has done wonderfully meeting kids at adoption events, greeting them with her sweet, friendly personality.

One thing you'll never forget about Mia is her adorable little tongue that always seems to be peeking out. Whether she's playing, relaxing, or simply walking around the house, that "blep" is guaranteed to make you smile.

Mia is ready for a family that will embrace her joyful spirit, keep her active, and shower her with the love she's been waiting for. In return, she'll reward you with endless games of fetch, loyal companionship, and a lifetime of happy memories. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

For information about this dog's breed(s), visit:
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm

To fill out our adoption application, go to:
http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html
