Merlot is a beautiful 1.5 yr old female Lab/Rottweiler mix (our best guess) that weighs 50 lbs.

Merlot was found in an abandoned trailer and is looking for a companion that will give her a loving forever home and who can continue with her training.

Merlot is very social and affectionate and is eager to please and is doing well with her basic training. She is very engaged with her people and loves to be petted. Merlot has been exposed to small children and does well. She also does well with other dogs. She prefers to hang out with dogs that do not want to rough house. Her foster is working on crate training but so far, she is not found of a crate. Merlot does well on a leash. An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
