Hi I'm Merlin! If you think this face is adorable now, wait until it's resting peacefully on your shoulder... there's just no better feeling. I absolutely love lounging and cuddling on the couch and in true beagle form, sniffing around the yard (I do require a fenced in yard.) Since I am almost blind, I'm a bit shy at first and it takes me a minute to get used to new places and people, but once I do I'm a total sweetheart and I navigate my areas well! I'm really looking for a calm, simple life with routine and consistency, and a peaceful place to relax. I'm PERFECT with cats and I would love to have a dog friend in my forever home to help me continue building my confidence (I even like to play tag with my foster dog siblings every now and then!) I'm also excellent in my crate, and consider it my "home base." At about 6 years old and 45 lbs, I'm hoping my smiling face and huge heart will lead me to my perfect forever family. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.<br/><br/>We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.<br/><br/>We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
