Merlin's Story

Merlin is such a handsome, sweet little boy! He is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 15 pounds.

Meet Merlin, a fun-spirited, loveable and wiggly boy who is excited to find his forever home. Sadly, Merlin is heartworm positive, and we are looking for a family who wants to foster him, which could lead to adoption if you fall in love! You will not meet a happier guy, he is super friendly, adorable of course, and very attentive to you. Merlin loves giving gentle kisses and seems to enjoy cuddling, who doesn't! He really likes toys and easily relinquishes them. When we saw Merlin, we knew he was something special and had to bring him to our rescue. He will be starting his treatment soon and will need a quiet, low-key type of home where he can calmly recover and heal. So, he will need a committed foster who can try to keep him relaxed during his treatment. Merlin will also need a home where any children are respectful, calm and at least 8 years old so he can have a peaceful place to live during his treatment. Merlin would love it if you came to meet him, he is truly going to make a wonderful best friend, and he really wants a family to love.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Merlin would love to meet them. He has a friendly, open loose approach with other dogs.

If you are interested in Merlin and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
