Merida's Story

Hi, I'm Merida! I'm a young boxer mix who can be a little shy when meeting new people. Loud noises aren't really my favorite thing, and new situations can make me nervous, so I may need a little time to warm up. But once I know you're a friend, you'll discover what a sweet, silly, and goofy girl I really am.

One thing I never have trouble with is making dog friends. I LOVE other dogs! I'm already in several play groups and have a great time running, playing, and hanging out with my canine buddies at the shelter. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy to have a furry sibling in my new home.

The shelter staff and volunteers say I'm becoming more confident every day. With patience, love, and encouragement, I'm learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all.

I'm also working on my potty-training skills. Shelter life can make routines a little tricky, but I'm trying my best and getting better every day. I'm also scheduled to be spayed soon.

If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who will reward your patience with endless sweetness, laughs, and loyalty, I might be your girl. I can't wait to find a family to call my own. Make an appointment to meet me!
