Meri is a super sweet and friendly dog who deserves a loving home. She is a good mix of playful puppy and couch cuddler and loves to be with her people. Meri walks great on a leash, no pulling, and mostly ignores dogs and people that pass by. She can be a little timid and slow to warm up, but once comfortable, she is very outgoing. This goes for dogs, too. She is cautious and needs a slow introduction, but once acquainted, she is playful and has fun sharing toys.
Meri knows how to sit and stay, and she is working to learn other commands. She is a good listener, stays close in the yard, and wants to please. Meri is mostly potty trained, just a few accidents when she wasn't able to go for her daily walk. Meri goes in her cage with a treat and will hang out in there when close to her people, but she does have crate anxiety when left alone. She would benefit from intentional crate training if she would regularly be crated for extended periods of time in her adoptive home.
Meri is quiet and rarely barks, but she can be a little whiney if bored or missing her people. Meri likes to sleep in bed with her people, if allowed, and sleeps well. She is an early riser but takes a long morning nap! Meri will be your shadow and your best friend, and she will make a wonderful addition to a welcoming family.
