Melvin is 2 years old, 65 lbs.
a good sam got him out of horrid conditions with an embedded collar and terrible skin infections. He is now all healed up.

Melvin is a 65 lb, 2 year old sweetie who loves to snuggle, play, have treats, and sometimes watch videos or shows with his people. So far he’s friendly with other nice dogs and doesn’t bark much, not even at the mailman.

He’s a fast learner, he’s quickly getting better at sitting for treats, walking on a leash, and playing more gently with people.



Other info:

-can make him do almost anything with treats

-use a slow feeder when you feed him

-loves tough toys he can chew or try to tear, while supervised for his safety

-loves to play tug-of-war

-if he starts getting mouthy while you play, redirect him to only use his mouth on his toys, he has never bit down but can get a little rough while playing, if allowed

-he loves walks, but until he’s trained more, keep a good grip in case he sees a cat or squirrel, walker should be kind of strong

-will stop and give kisses randomly during walks and throughout the day in general

-loves just being near you and watching you do stuff around the house
