Meatloaf's Story

Meatloaf is the definition of a laid-back best friend. This handsome guy is happiest when he's curled up on the couch beside his favorite person, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He's a true cuddle bug who prefers naps over playtime, chooses treats over toys every time, and will gladly spend the day relaxing with you. Meatloaf does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, but he truly prefers the company of his humans. Because he forms strong bonds with his people and doesn't enjoy being left alone, he's looking for a home where someone is around often to keep him company. He would also do best in a home without children, where he can enjoy a calm, predictable environment. Meatloaf has earned an A+ in house training and is making great progress with his crate training. Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy

Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
