You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mazy was surrendered to us on 3/19/2026, and she'd already been through a few homes despite being no older than 10 months. She does mostly resemble a terrier, particularly West Highland but is longer than a Westie in the body. Mazy is quite the little character! She can be a little bit on the shy side and does like to tease. Once she's comfortable with people, she's loving, playful, and affectionate. She will be vet checked and spayed on April 14th and her fee is $150.<br/><br/>Mazy will need basic training but she's smart and would learn quickly. She is a young and active dog so exercise is important. She would really benefit from a fenced yard as her leash skills are still a work in progress and she does play "keep away" sometimes. She did live with a cat in her previous home but her playful antics annoyed him. She did well with kids over 5 and has done well with dogs of similar size.<br/><br/>NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.<br/><br/>We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.<br/><br/>We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
