Maybelle's Story
Breed - Chiweenie

Date of Birth - 9/19/25

Weight ‐ 13.5lbs

Likes / Favorite Things- MayBelle’s favorite things include squeaky balls, sneaky little toys, zooming around the yard with her big dog buddies, and snuggling up close with her people. She’s equal parts playful and cuddly!

Dislikes- MayBelle isn’t a huge fan of being left alone, but she settles fairly quickly with reassurance and a few kind words. At bedtime, she may whimper a little in her crate before relaxing and drifting off to sleep.

She also thinks she should be the star of the show when it comes to attention! While she tolerates sharing her humans with other pets, she may occasionally fuss at her dog siblings to remind them she deserves extra love. With gentle correction, she’s learning great manners and sharing skills. She would do best in a home with one or two dog companions.

Crate Trained / Housebroken- MayBelle sleeps quietly in her crate all night and is doing very well with potty training. Like most puppies, she still has an occasional accident indoors, but frequent potty breaks help her stay on track.

Her foster mom works from home, so MayBelle hasn’t needed to spend much time in her crate during daytime hours. Because of this, her new family may need to help her continue building confidence and routine with daytime crating as she adjusts to her forever home.

Fenced Yard Required- A fenced yard is preferred so she can safely burn off some puppy energy, but it’s not required. She also enjoys leash walks for exercise and adventure.

Energy Level-Medium to high energy — she loves playtime, zoomies, and staying active, followed by cuddle time with her favorite humans.

Medical Notes- MayBelle is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and was spayed on 5/6/26. During her spay procedure, three retained baby teeth were also removed. She is also on monthly heartworm and flea medication.

Requirements for New Home / Notes from Foster- MayBelle is a sweet, affectionate little girl who absolutely thrives on love and attention. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes in her foster home and especially enjoys playing with the bigger dogs — she has no idea she’s tiny!
She’s also learning to coexist nicely with cats. While curious, she does not chase the cat in her foster home and will even relax nearby when things are calm.

As a young puppy, MayBelle is still in her chewing phase. Her new family should keep plenty of approved chew toys and nylabones handy to keep her busy. Otherwise, plush toys may mysteriously lose their stuffing… and lonely socks may suddenly disappear into her secret puppy treasure collection!

If you are interested in giving Maybelle the permanent, loving home that she deserves, please fill out an application at the link below to get the ball rolling on a meet and greet.

https://form.jotform.com/202046006590041

If this link doesn't open by clicking on it, just copy and paste it into a new browser.

Adopters must live within a 45 mile radius of Winston-Salem.
