Maya American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Scranton, PA

Meet Maya, the Queen of "Zoomies"!! This adorable little pocket Bully was recently rescued from the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter after being brought in as a stray. Maya is estimated to be around two years of age and she weighs in at around 40 lbs. She is smaller in stature but SOLID like a sack of flour. Maya is funner than a barrel of monkeys! This cute little girl is fun, frivolous, wiggly and welcoming. A compact, super snugly love bug, Maya does not miss a beat as she meets new people or doggie friends. She is very social, interactive and affectionate. Maya is an instant hit with everyone she meets. Said to be a skilled leash walker, Maya was ready to go and do and then find a human lap to call her own. This darling photo bomber makes everyone smile and laugh. She would be a great match for a busier family. Hanging out with older kids and other dogs would perfectly suit her style and allow her to put her pet skills to their best use. The sending shelter has informed us that Maya is fine around cats. She got batted in the face by one and didn't even seem to care. (Caution, however, should always be exercised when introducing new pets to resident cats) Maya has an "include me in your daily routine" outlook on life and hopes to soon be on YOUR radar and then in YOUR home! She is partially house-trained and does need a lot of supervision to get her all the way there. But she is SO worth it. Maya will be available for foster, or adoption, on Sunday Oct. 13th and we are accepting applications for her now. Sweet little Maya is already spayed, micro-chipped and current with vaccines. She has recently been treated for heart-worm disease and she is well past the "restricted activity" period of her recovery phase.
