Maxx's Story

Maxx is a 3-year-old, 63-pound goofball with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This handsome boy already knows sit, stay, and shake-and he's eager to show off his tricks for a treat or two!

He's a curious explorer who loves to sniff every leaf (and maybe sneak a taste), so walks are full of adventure. Maxx does pull on leash at times, but it's manageable, and with consistency, he's very trainable. He needs a little help getting into the car-his coordination isn't his strong suit-but once he's in, he rides like a dream! Just be ready when you open the door, because he's excited to get out and get moving.

Maxx greets every person like a long-lost friend and shows positive interest in other dogs without pulling toward them. He's playful, energetic, and sometimes a bit mouthy-so he'd likely love a canine sibling who enjoys rowdy, wrestling-style play.

This fun-loving boy thrives on exercise, space to run and sniff, and plenty of human companionship. Maxx is loyal, affectionate, and always up for an adventure-or a good laugh. With some continued training and structure, he'll make an incredible, joyful addition to the right family.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
