Max the Tripaw's Story

Looking for a soul dog for the quiet adventures — forest bathing, weekend camping, and everything in between?

Meet Max: Three Legs, One Big Heart

Hi, I’m Max, a 5 year old, 60 lb Husky who’s living proof that you don’t need four legs to live your best life.

My story starts in Lebanon, where I was found with gunshot wounds so severe my leg had to be amputated. I was alone, in pain, and had been through more than any dog should ever endure. An incredible team of animal rescuers found me, refused to give up on me, and fought hard to get me every bit of care I needed - multiple surgeries, treatment for blood parasites, and so much more. That journey brought me all the way here, and I’ve never looked back.

I lost one of my legs, but honestly? You’d barely know it. I hike, I explore, I roam — and I do it all at an easy, unhurried pace that makes every outing feel like a good idea. I’ve also been doing good off-leash lately, which makes adventures with me that much more fun.

I’m independent, easygoing. I don’t require constant entertainment or attention. I’m happy just being with you, whether that’s trotting alongside you on a leisurely hike, joining you on a camping trip, and quietly hanging out beside you at home after my sniff walk.

With people, I am pure sweetness. I love being petted, I’m super treat-motivated, and I’ll reward your patience with so much loyalty. I do best in a home with a yard where I can wander and sniff around. Apartment life may not be a good option for me.

A note about mealtimes - I like my food to be mine. A home where dogs are separated during mealtimes and food or resources aren’t left lying around is exactly the kind of setup where I thrive. Simple management, no drama.

If you’re someone who enjoys having an independent soul dog, loves getting out in the outdoors, and wants a one-of-a-kind adventure buddy, I think we’d make a pretty great team.

Three legs. Zero limits. All heart. 🐾

If you’d like to make me family, reach out to my rescue PawesomeBaby!

———————————————

We are looking for an active family who would enjoy getting out for walks at a slower pace. And a home with a fenced yard; no apartments.
He’s adoptable in WA, BC and AK.

For Alaska adoptions, we cover the transportation. You only have to pay adoption fees, and offer the loving forever family he can count on!

Check out the Instagram story highlights at @PawesomeBaby for more pictures and videos.

———————————————

Age: 4 yrs 9 months

Sex: Male, neutered

Vaccination: current on core vaccines.

Heartworm negative.

Special needs husky with three legs.

Needs home with a yard.

———————————————

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! God bless!

PawesomeBaby's Adoption Policy
1. Basic Questions on family/lifestyle/experience with dogs. For the huskies, we do look for a home that can understand and work with their unique personality (desire to wander, urge to pull and run, easily bored, have their own mind, stubborn - “what is in it for me” attitude, not very patient with children, to name a few). 2. Meet and Greet with adopter and adopter's pets. There may be additional video calls. 3. Adoption application completion. It will be emailed to you. 4. Reference Check calls (friends, veterinarian) 5. Multiple Meet and Greets if needed. 6. If we decide it’s a good match, then the next step is to sign the Adoption contract. With a 3 week trial period to ensure it’s the right home. Please note, we accept multiple applications for a dog, and try to select the best match. We do not rush adoptions.
