Max's Story

Max came to the rescue with his buddy Pippa, when their owner's life changed and she could no longer care of them. We first thought that Max and Pippa were bonded, but the longer he has been in his foster home, it was determined that wasn't the case, but he would prefer to have another doggie sibling in his new forever home or if there is someone out there looking for 2 great dogs, he would love to have Pippa come home with him as well. He is a very chill dog. He is not a big barker, even when the rest of the doggies in his foster home are singing the song of their people, he prefers to just sit and watch them. He is housetrained and will use the doggie door to go in and out into the fenced in backyard. He is not crate trained, but has not torn up anything while not being in a crate at his foster home. He loves to go on walks and is great on a leash. He is good with dogs of all sizes, kids and even livestock. He has not been cat tested though. This boy prefers to sleep on a fuzzy blanket or doggie bed next to his foster mom's bed at night, but will at some point ask to come up to sleep next to her. He is just very sweet and calm and loving. He would make just about anyone a great companion.
