Max is an approximately 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his hugs. Found as a stray, it's hard to believe no one came looking for this incredibly sweet and well-mannered boy.<br/><br/>Max has been thriving in his foster home, where he's done wonderfully with both dogs and cats. He loves being with his people and would happily spend every minute by your side. In fact, he firmly believes your lap is the perfect place to sit—even if you're standing! He also rides great in the car, although he'd happily volunteer to take over the driving if given the chance.<br/><br/>He's an adventure buddy at heart and loves swimming in rivers and lakes. Around the house, Max is quiet, doesn't bark through the night, and has shown he won't dig up the yard even after spending the day outside. He patiently sits while you put on his leash and isn't food aggressive.<br/><br/>Like any dog, Max still has a few things to work on. He pulls on leash, currently marks his territory, and is not yet potty trained.
