Max's Story
Name: Max
Age: 1 years (as of 7/23/25)
Gender: Male
Weight: 65lbs
Breed: Jindo/Mastiff mix
Dog: Ok with dogs, selective.
Cat: Not tested
Kids: Best 16+
Housebroken: Yes
Ok in kennel: No
Ok on leash: In training
Location: Fostered in Dublin, CA

Brief Intro:

Meet Max! Max was rescued through our International Rescue Program, he was one of the few lucky dogs who was able to get rescued from a slaughter house when it was shut down. Max did not have a great start at life but he has come a very long way! Due to his past, he is very fearful about being caged and is learning slowly to be ok on leash. When he was first rescued the leash was a constant reminder of dogs being dragged off to slaughter, now, Max is able to walk on leash with the harness and with people he trust. Max can be shy and shut down when moving to a new environment but with patience and time (usually around 2-3 days) he will slowly open up. Once opened up, Max is a total love bug who LOVES to cuddle and be around his people. Max is a true protector of those he loves! Max is a true foodie and can be won over with treats and patience.

We are looking for a savvy and patient home willing to open their home and heart to a sweet boy who has seen the worst but deserves the best! Max is patiently waiting for a home to call his own!
