Max's Story

Max is a nervous fella who has such a wonderful, goofy personality underneath that timid exterior. He is just a little over a year old and came to HES very shut down and unsure of the world. Through time and patience, he's been loosening up and coming to see that humans aren't so scary after all. But get him around other dogs, and his true personality shines through!

Max loves other dogs and is such a fun-loving, joyful puppy when he's with his friends. He needs a home with at least 1 other canine companion to provide him the security and comfort he needs to get out of his shell, as well as a playmate to help burn off some of that puppy energy!

We think Max would do best in a home with teenage kids and up, and without cats. He needs a patient adopter who will give him the time he needs to decompress and come around on his own time, but as long as he has a doggie friend, he's good as gold! If he pulls at your heartstrings and you feel like you have the right home for this handsome young guy, come meet him at HES!
