VIP: Max is a friendly youngster who seems to be quite smart. He loves to play and is very cute! Max is about 13 months of age and went on a group dog walk recently with other dogs at the shelter. He got along great with the other dogs on the walk. Max walks well on the leash and takes direction very well. He is short and stocky and a great boy. Max was adopted and returned after 3 days because he did not like walking down stairs or being in an elevator. <br/><br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
