My name is Max, and IÆm an 11-month-old Rottweiler mix who came to the Stafford County Animal Shelter on November 13, 2025. I didnÆt come in looking my best. My skin was in rough shape, and the staff had to call a veterinarian right away to help me. IÆm only 49 pounds, and even though IÆve clearly had a hard start, I let the staff handle me without any trouble. I only seem to understand Spanish, so we werenÆt able to get much information from my previous owner. Nobody knows if IÆm housebroken, good with kids, or good with other pets. I wish I could tell you myself, but all I can do is show you how gentle and sweet I really am. My past is foggy, and itÆs not the kind of story any young dog should have to live through. IÆm hoping the next chapter will be a whole lot brighter. IÆve been neutered, microchipped, and IÆm up to date on my rabies vaccine, which means there are no geographical adoption restrictions. Anyone can come meet me and take me home if they feel weÆre a match. My adoption fee is $45.
