Max is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile. We originally adopted Max out as a puppy, and for the first four years of his life he served as an emotional support companion for a teenager. When his family lost their home due to landlord issues, they were heartbreakingly forced to surrender him. His next owner loved him for a year and invested in both intermediate and advanced training classes, making Max a well-mannered, well-rounded companion.<br/><br/> House & Crate trained--Knows basic commands---Completed intermediate and advanced training classes---Great with other dogs, including the many Chihuahuas in his foster home<br/><br/>Max weighs about 60 pounds and still has plenty of great years ahead of him. Most nights he sleeps on a pillow beside his foster mom's bed, although every now and then he sneaks into the bed for extra cuddles.<br/><br/>Max is also the perfect road-trip buddy. He absolutely loves riding shotgun and has become his foster moms favorite driving companion.
