Max's Story

Meet Max — a sweet, springy pup with a soft side!
Max is a young medium-to-large dog who might be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a moment (and maybe a tasty treat or two!) and you’ll start to see his personality shine. This handsome guy *loves* treats and is always eager to earn them, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding time.
One thing you’ll notice right away—Max has some serious hops! Whether he’s excited or showing off, this boy can jump high, so he’ll do best in a home that can safely manage his athletic abilities.
Once he feels comfortable, Max really enjoys gentle affection, especially pets under his muzzle—his favorite spot! With patience and a calm approach, he’ll quickly learn to trust and become a loyal companion. Come meet him at our Mo'ili'ili campus today!

Hawaiian Humane Society's Adoption Policy
A photo ID is required at the time of all adoptions. Hawaiian Humane operates on a first come, first served basis, if you complete a questionnaire for a particular pet online, that does not reserve the pet. To best serve you, check in at least 30 minutes before closing to meet with an adoptions representative. Please note that if you wish to conduct a meet-and-greet between your dog and one of our available dogs, due to the high volume of visitors, you may be asked to wait outside our gate with your pet until an adoptions representative is available or reschedule for a different day.
