Max (1 of the 3 shih tzus/yorkies)'s Story
2/7:Not yet availble but Foster to Adoption available as he is Heartworm postive.
2-3 years old.

Foster update!
Max is a sweet, playful, and cuddly 3-year-old boy who loves being close to his people. He’s affectionate and enjoys snuggling, often putting his paws up to get closer for attention.
He’s currently working on housebreaking and is doing well with routine and supervision. Max sleeps quietly in a crate at night — he needs a little help being placed inside, but doesn’t resist and settles easily. He walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out for strolls.
Max has been great with people and has done well with our two small dogs, though he seems happiest focusing on “his person.” We’re not sure yet how he is with children. Despite coming in very matted and needing a shave-down, Max did wonderfully for grooming and bath time.
As we continue to get to know him, we’ll be updating his profile — but so far, Max is proving to be a loving little companion who just wants to be near his person.

We started off 2026 with a bang, dogs coming and going, non stop calls for help and so many surgeries every day it’s a coordination nightmare sometimes. While I had five dogs in surgery today I got a call that another lady who I had rescued matted dogs off of last year was ready to surrender more dogs. She met me in the parking lot of the clinic with two horribly matted shihtzus who had so much poop stuck in their butts. As I loaded them in my van I asked her son who had to translate for mom if they had more dogs at home because this was atrocious, he said we have another one. I told him to go home and get him also. This poor baby is only a year old and I can’t even feel his body, it’s one block of mats. We need fosters for each and to get them groomed. The two black and white ones are males the tan white is female. Right now they’re just scared but probably lived outside. Please text me at (704) 650-9653 if you can foster one and have already been approved. To apply to adopt please go to www.peanutsplacerescue.org click application scroll down it’ll appear. I have to think of new names to go with their new life!
