He and three other dogs were rescued from a breeding situation where they were kept in heartbreaking conditions and treated as a source of profit rather than as living beings deserving of care. Mateo spent much of his life confined to a cage. Thanks to a dedicated rescuer, he was finally brought to safety and given a second chance.<br/><br/>Now, Mateo is on a journey of healing.
