Mason's Story
Mason is a 9 years, 2 months old male Terrier/Mix who weighs 24 pounds.

Meet Mason, a 9-year-old Terrier with a gentle, shy soul and a heart that's ready for a second chance.

Mason was originally adopted from our shelter back in 2018 and spent many years in a home of his own. Unfortunately, his family recently fell on hard times and could no longer care for him, so Mason has found himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own.

Returning to shelter life has been a big adjustment for this senior gentleman. On intake, Mason was understandably shy and unsure, creeping cautiously through his new surroundings. But even in those first moments, he showed us his sweet nature-when people crouched down to greet him, his tail gave a soft, low wag. It was as if to say he wanted to trust, but just needed a little time.

Mason is looking for a patient, understanding family who will let him settle in at his own pace and remind him what it feels like to be home again. Behind his timid exterior is a loyal companion who has already proven he knows how to be a beloved family member. Mason is looking for an adult only home that has experience with dogs, and understands that Mason will need some time to adjust.

If you're looking for a quiet friend to share your days and have room in your heart for a deserving senior dog, Mason may be the perfect match. He's hoping his next chapter will be filled with comfort and kindness.

If you are interested in adopting Mason, please visit the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 12-4 pm during our walk-in hours.
