I'm an young adult male Collie/Pyrenees/German Shepherd?? mix. I love being active and enjoy learning new tricks and going on walks and runs. I get along great with other dogs and I love asking other dogs to play with me. I don't have any cats in my life, and I'm friendly with kids but I tend to knock them over because I'm excited to get to know them. <br/><br/>I'm very friendly and love greeting my humans when they get home and love meeting new people. My sworn enemy is hardwood floors because I'm afraid I'll slip on them. I love learning and will work hard on getting a treat as long as the treat is something I'm into, because I reserve the right to be picky. I'm very well potty trained and I will ask to be let out if I need to go. I need lots of activity. If I don't get enough during the day, I'll ask you to play with me. I know sit, lay down, and shake, but I'm still working on getting these every time I'm prompted. I prefer to not be in a crate because it makes me nervous. I am able to free roam at night and when my humans are away without issues. <br/><br/>The best kind of home for me is a home that can give me the active days I need, either through lots of outside time or through lots of challenging learning. I love being with other dogs and meeting new people and a home that can give me both would be ideal.<br/><br/>Marvey is fixed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations appropriate for his age.<br/><br/>Marvey was treated for Heartworm before coming into rescue and will need to be retested at 6 months and 1 year from treatment to make sure the treatment was effective. We can only rescue as many animals as available foster homes. Please consider saving the life of an animal in need and become a volunteer foster home today. To become a foster, fill out a dog or cat foster application on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website: www.twincitiespetrescue.org . There is little to no cost to foster an animal. Twin Cities Pet Rescue provides its foster families with food, supplies, and veterinary care for its animals. However, preference will always be given to applicants within 100 miles of the Twin Cities area, which includes parts of Wisconsin.
