Martha Dale is a curious & energetic explorer, with a hard shell & a super-gooey sweet center. The biggest pup & natural leader of the pack, she needs extra love from being tough all day. Her personality is well-balanced between bold & soft, and this girl is FUNNY - she keeps us laughing from the moment her paws hit the floor in the morning! <br/><br/>Martha Dale would absolutely thrive alongside an experienced owner who is able to provide training that hones in on her natural instincts & talents. An active family with older children on a small farm-type setting would be ideal for MD. She is great in the car & always down for an adventure!<br/><br/>She first discovered her love for water when introduced to a baby pool at 6-7 weeks. Since then, she has been showing us her most quirky, hilarious trait - sitting in the water bowl as though it’s her own personal jacuzzi. <br/><br/>Since becoming fully-vaccinated, MD has loved frequent adventures to local lakes, and recently swam - TRULY SWAM - for the first time! It was magical to witness the astounding joy that came over her as she realized she was swimming! <br/><br/>Another favorite goofy MD-moment, was when she was given a single frozen blueberry for the first time, & was absolutely fascinated by it. She spent an extended amount of time trying to figure out exactly how a blueberry worked. <br/><br/>It was actually moving to see how in her element she was when first meeting large animals (horses, cattle, & deer - side note: she also lives alongside free-range chickens). If you’re looking for a working companion, she just might be your gal! She is also EXCELLENT in the car & makes a wonderful adventure buddy. <br/><br/>Other basic stats - Martha Dale is:<br/>- fully vaccinated<br/>- spayed<br/>- microchipped<br/>- on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative<br/>- treated for internal parasites<br/>- knows basic commands (sit, stay, drop-it, shake)<br/>- very receptive to positive reinforcement training<br/>- potty-trained<br/>- walks on a leash & familiar with a harness<br/>- used to baths/nail-trims/ear-cleaning <br/>- well-socialized with a wide variety of humans, animals, & environments<br/><br/>Martha Dale was found in rural Northeast Texas at ~3 weeks old as part of a litter of 7 stray & orphaned puppies.
