Martha's Story

Meet Martha — the Sweetest Soul!Martha is, without question, one of the most affectionate English bulldogs we have ever met. Her journey hasn’t been easy: she came from a high-kill shelter in Texas and was even placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she was rescued in time. Her previous owners loved her dearly, but due to health and financial challenges, they were unable to give Martha the care she truly needed and deserved.
From the moment you meet her, you’ll understand exactly who Martha is at her core: pure love bug. There is never a moment when she isn’t looking into your eyes, asking for cuddles, kisses, and affection. She is the definition of a Velcro dog—she’ll sit by your side, walk by your side, sleep by your side… whatever you’re doing, she just wants to do it next to you.
Martha enjoys hiking and walking just as much as she loves curling up for a cozy snuggle session. Her happiest place in the world is simply with her person.

A Queen Who Knows Her WorthMartha gets along well with other dogs and even cats. However, she can be a bit of a diva when it comes to sharing affection. Her “jealousy” is more of a charming bulldog quirk—she’ll sometimes try to assert herself to let other dogs know that she is the chosen one. It’s not aggression at all, just her sweet (and slightly needy) way of saying, “My human loves me the most."
Medical Needs – But So Much Potential. Martha has ongoing allergy and skin issues, which have caused some fur loss from her shoulders back to her rear. With proper nutrition, supplements, and consistent care, we are confident that her coat will fill back in beautifully. Because of this, she is considered a medical-needs dog, but truly—we have no doubt that with the right support, she will heal quickly and thrive.
To help her on her wellness journey, her adoption includes:
• Two months of Asher House Wellness CBD
• Two months of Asher House Wellness allergy chews

A Dog Made of Pure Love
If her name weren’t Martha, it would probably be Love… or maybe Miss Needy, because she is wonderfully devoted and deeply affectionate. All she wants is to love and be loved.
She would be a great fit for:
• Kids of any age
• A family ready to spoil her
• A calm or active household—she just wants to be part of your life
• A home where she can be the queen (though she’s fine with other animals)Martha has lived through a lot—noisy shelters, multiple homes, a long trip from Texas to Oregon. Now she’s ready to finally settle into a forever home where she can exhale, cuddle up, and be cherished the way she deserves.

She weighs 42 pounds and her adoption fee is $240, it includes registration of microchip, a sample of food, new leash/collar and toy & treat packet. She is spayed and vaccinated.
