HISTORY:

ABOUT:
Marsha is an outgoing, shy, and loving little lady. She loves attention and cuddling, although it may take her a minute or two upon first meeting to warm up. Loud noises sometimes scare her, so she will do best in a home with calm, gentle humans that understand her sensitivity. Sweet sing-songy voices get her excited and gets her little tail wagging. Because she can be easily startled with fast movements and loud voices Marsha will do best in an adult only home. Marcia really would like nothing more than to sit on your lap or snuggle on the couch or bed for naps. Marcia is happy to take a run around the yard a time or two per day – lots of exercise is not big on her to do list. Every once in a while she will get a case of the zoomies and play with the youngest dog in the house.

She isn’t overly treat or food motivated, it is love and affection that makes her world go ‘round. She can be a little protective of her food as far as the other pets are concerned, so Marsha is fed separately at her current foster home. She generally gets along well with the other dogs but is very interested in sniffing personal areas, and doesn’t heed the signals that the other dogs have had enough. She would do best with very tolerant dogs who will resign themselves to her frequent sniffing. Marsha would also do great as an only dog so she can soak up all the attention and be the queen of the snuggles. Marsha is a bit too interested in the squirrels in the yard and the cats from the local feral colony who frequent the yard, so she is not appropriate for homes with cats or small animals.

Marsha is very good at going potty outside and only has an accident on an infrequent basis, but what small dog doesn’t? She isn’t overly noisy, generally only barking if startled, there is a squirrel at the bird feeder, or the resident dogs start barking at something. She does whine a bit when left alone but seems to settle in quickly.

A few silly bits about Marsha: She will help keep your extermination costs down as she loves to attempt to catch sky raisins (flies). She also pretends that she will melt if she gets wet, but once she is set into the baby pool she loves to roll around and have a grand old time.
