Marnie's Story

Marnie is a recent mom who is now looking for that special forever home. She is a cautious girl who needs a little time to decide to engage with you.

She must have a fenced yard, as she will not go to the bathroom while on a leash. We believe she may have suffered past trauma related to leashes, so walking on one is not currently an activity she can do.

Marnie has perfect house manners and plays well with all her toys. She also gets along well with small dogs, though she has not yet been around big dogs or children under 10 years of age. She is a loving little dog who wants nothing more than to sit by your side and have you stroke her head for as long as you are willing. She loves being with her person but is not a shadow dog. She rides well in the car and is okay being left alone for short periods of time while she is fine with cats.

(An adoption fee of $500 is required.)
If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt

If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.
