Meet Marley!<br/><br/>Marley is a beautiful Bulldog mix who is estimated to be around 8-9 years old. She was originally adopted from us in 2021 but recently found her way back to the shelter through no fault of her own.<br/><br/>Marley is a loyal, affectionate girl who simply takes a little time to get to know new people. She just believes the best friendships are worth building! She appreciates slow introductions, a patient approach, and perhaps most importantly - a few tasty treats! Once you've earned her trust, her sweet personality truly shines. Marley forms strong bonds with her people and returns their love with endless affection, unwavering loyalty, and plenty of companionship. She loves relaxing beside her favorite humans, happily soaking up pets while sitting on a bench together. In a home, she would likely make a perfect couch potato companion and would be thrilled to spend the evening curled up by your side after a leisurely walk. She's also a big fan of squeaky toys and proudly carries her prized treasures around wherever she goes!<br/><br/>According to her previous adopter, Marley is both housebroken and crate trained. We've also learned that she rides well in the car! She enjoys leisurely walks where she can stop to sniff and explore the world around her, and she walks nicely on a leash during outings.<br/><br/>Marley does have some ongoing medical needs. She has skin allergies that are currently well managed with a prescription diet and medication, both of which will likely need to continue long-term to keep her comfortable. Since returning to our care, Marley also underwent a TECA procedure on both ears. As a result, she is now hard of hearing, which will likely be permanent. Despite these challenges, Marley continues to enjoy life and doesn't let them slow her down.<br/><br/>Marley would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 12 and older. She has done well meeting other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion in her new home, but she'd be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only pup. As always, a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will take place at the shelter to make sure everyone is a good match.
