Meet Marley!!<br/><br/>This senior lady is an absolute angel. Poor girl has such a sad story but she’s ready to find someone to love her for the rest of her life ??<br/><br/>Poor Marley ended up in a very full shelter after her human owner died. She was with her doggie sister Matilda. Marley acted as a seeing eye dog for Matilda who was blind. They were bonded and loved each other. Sadly Matilda deteriorated rapidly in a shelter environment and passed away there leaving Marley all alone. When we got Markey from the shelter her entire demeanor changed into a happy dog again that is so grateful for another chance. <br/><br/>Marley is a 10 year old, female, Standard Poodle mix. Please don’t let her age deter you, this girl is amazing with lots of love left to share with you!! <br/><br/>She weighs 59 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. She is thankfully Heartworm negative.<br/><br/>Marley has something going on with her eyes. We are in the process of determining exactly what it is. She can still see. We will work on diagnosing and treating(if possible) but wanted to start looking for her perfect home while we do. She does still have some coat staining from her previous life that may take some time to fully come out. <br/><br/>She is a super easy going, perfectly trained and a lower energy girl. She would be a great dog for any family or even a senior citizen. She requires very little to be happy. She loves to sit in a comfy bed and watch the day go by. She is happy to go on walks with you but doesn’t require much exercise. <br/><br/>Marley is perfect with potty training, she’s crate trained and leash trained. She rides great in the car and is great when meeting new people. Everyone that meets her just falls in love with how sweet she is. She has no problem being crated but can also be left out. She has not destroyed anything when left out. <br/><br/>She does wonderful with all other pets including cats. She loves to watch the cats but doesn’t bother them. She’s not very playful with other dogs but tolerates other younger playful dogs in the home very well. She isn’t fostered with kids but we think she would do great with respectful kids that treat her appropriately. She’s been nothing but sweet and loving to everyone and everything so far. <br/><br/>Marley hasn’t shown any food, treat or toy aggression toward people or other animals. <br/><br/>She is overall very low maintenance and easy to care for. She will happily chew a bone in her bed and doesn’t demand much time or attention. She’s such a sweet, happy and content girl. All she wants is someone to love. <br/><br/>It doesn’t get much better than an already trained, laid back, sweetheart like this pretty lady?? Shes about as perfect as they come and we adore her!!!<br/><br/>She will need regular grooming. This requires time to get her to and from the appointments and additional expenses to pay for it. On average a dog of this breed will need grooming every 6-7 weeks.
