Marisol is a sweet 3-year-old Lab/Basset Hound mix who is ready to leave her uncertain past behind and find the loving home she deserves.<br/>Marisol was abandoned by her previous owners at a local motel and eventually made her way to the local shelter. We don't know much about her life before rescue, but one thing is already clear: this girl has an amazing ability to bounce back. Despite everything she has been through, Marisol is incredibly well-adjusted, friendly, and eager to connect with the people and dogs around her.<br/>She is a polite, gentle girl who absolutely loves affection. Give her some attention and she'll happily soak it all up! Marisol would make a wonderful companion and would love nothing more than to be your devoted sidekick-and, if invited, your lap dog. <br/>She is very friendly with other dogs and people, and we're continuing to learn more about her personality as she settles into rescue. Her adoption fee is $300.<br/><br/>Marisol is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She will graduate from Paws in Prison on 11/14/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.<br/><br/>For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal.
