Marisa's Story
*We will not be hosting adoption events on Saturday, October 24 or Saturday, October 31. Private adoption appointments for individual animals will be available to pre-approved applicants from October 19 through November 1.*

Marisa, affectionately known as “Moo-risa” or simply “Moo” thanks to her adorable black-and-white cow markings, is an incredibly friendly girl with a happy, social personality. She loves being with her people, but her affection certainly isn’t limited to those she knows. Young or old, familiar face or complete stranger, Marisa tends to assume everyone is a friend she simply hasn’t met yet. Even delivery drivers are welcomed with enthusiastic tail wags!

Marisa has done wonderfully with children and has also been gentle and respectful around an elderly family member who uses a walker. She rarely jumps up when greeting people and generally has lovely manners with her human friends. Marisa is also friendly with other dogs. Her canine foster sibling is timid and was initially reluctant to play, and Marisa did a great job respecting her space and allowing her to warm up at her own pace. These days, the two exchange doggie kisses and happily enjoy playtime together.

Marisa loves companionship and would likely thrive in a home where she can be included in everyday life. When she first arrived in foster care, she showed some interest in chewing, so regular exercise, playtime, walks, and plenty of durable toys will help give that energy an appropriate outlet. Friendly, affectionate, playful, and sporting some pretty fantastic cow spots, Marisa is looking for a family ready to include her in the fun and give her plenty of opportunities to love them right back.

Marisa is a 3-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $250 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Marisa is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
