Marion's Dobie

Dobie is a very sweet, athletic and rambunctious boy who is looking for his forever family. He loves the great outdoors and needs to have space to run and play. He can be somewhat of an escape artist (climbs fencing using his nails) but usually doesn't stray far. He is not a fence jumper but will need a secure yard with an unclimbable fence. This behavior could correct itself if he had a playmate his size and energy level. He would do best with a family who is home most of the time, and can show him the love and security he needs through positive reinforcement training. He does get excited in new situations, but walks nicely on a leash and enjoys his daily walks. With the proper introduction, he gets along with other dogs and cats. He's not a barker, is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He loves everyone he meets, does not jump up and waits patiently to be petted.
