No, not 100% yet -- Please keep in mind that our dogs are rescued off the streets, they are NOT always 100% housebroken and will need time and patience to adjust. Even in a foster home in Mexico, the dogs are often living in an environment with no carpet or grass or living outside. In the house, it is usually tile flooring and outside it is dirt/concrete. Most of our dogs transition well and only need about 1-2 weeks to get on a potty schedule/routine.

• LOCATION: Currently in Guadalajara foster care. 2-4 weeks to arrange flight once adoption is approved

**Meet MARIE**

Marie was found wandering alone on a desolate road—no houses, no ranches, just hills and trees stretching endlessly. She was hungry, her fur dirty, and covered in fleas and ticks.
And her body told a story she couldn't: she was nursing, her milk still coming in, but despite hours of searching the surrounding area, no puppies were ever found. Whatever happened to her babies, Marie had been left behind to face it alone.

*A Fresh Start*

Today, Marie is unrecognizable from that desperate, starving dog on the roadside. With her fluffy white coat, big soulful brown eyes, and calm, gentle demeanor, she watches the world with a quiet hopefulness—always looking like she's patiently waiting for something good to happen.
"She knows her whole routine now," her foster mom shares. "Her mealtimes, when she goes to her bed—she's got it all figured out." She has blossomed into one of the most easygoing dogs in the house: she's wonderfully behaved and takes haircuts and baths calmly, doesn't bark at visiting dogs, doesn't start conflicts, and greets everyone—dogs, cats, kids—with the same gentle, tail-wagging warmth.

*The Hungriest Nose in Town*

Let's be honest: Marie is obsessed with food. Whatever you're cooking, she knows about it. Whatever fell on the floor, she's already there. (That patient, hopeful look? Usually it's directed at your dinner.) Her foster family uses slow-feeder bowls to help her pace herself—she'd inhale her meals otherwise and make herself sick—and she's learning, slowly, that not everything edible is meant for her.

This includes, unfortunately, cat poop, so a little management is needed there. But honestly? After what she survived, can you blame a girl for never wanting to feel hungry again?

*Little Legs, Big Joy*

Marie has an old healed injury in one of her back legs that gives her a limp. It doesn't stop her from playing with her foster siblings or trotting happily around the yard, but longer walks do tire her out. She's not the dog for marathon hikes—but she is the dog for a cozy home with a patch of garden to explore.

And explore she does. Marie's favorite hobby is digging. She goes outside white and fluffy; she comes back the color of coffee grounds, flopping onto her back to wiggle in the dirt like it's the greatest luxury in the world. Her foster mom has given up trying to keep her clean. Marie doesn't care. She's happy.

*Her Perfect Home*

Marie would thrive in almost any loving home—she's adaptable, affectionate, and gets along with just about everyone. She's still working on housetraining, so patience there is a must. And while she's not built for long adventures, she'll be your most devoted companion for everything else: movie nights, slow morning coffees, lazy Sunday afternoons.

Marie spent who knows how long surviving on nothing. Now she's ready for a life where she never has to worry again—where the food comes on schedule, the garden is hers to dig, and someone loves her exactly as she is: a little scruffy, a little limpy, and completely, utterly full of heart.

Could that someone be you?

***************************************

READY TO APPLY?
