Born Again Pit Bull Rescue

The Meximutt Project was born when BAPBR founder Angela Adams witnessed Mexico's overwhelming street dog crisis firsthand during a volunteer trip—over 18 million dogs struggling to survive on the streets. After dedicating over a decade to rescuing pit bulls, she made the bold decision to leave her life in Portland behind in 2019 to tackle this problem at its source. Though our work at BAPBR has evolved beyond pit bulls, our core mission remains unchanged: saving as many lives as possible by keeping dogs off the streets and out of shelters. Through comprehensive spay/neuter programs and connecting rescued dogs with loving Oregon families, we've given forever homes to hundreds of dogs and transformed the lives of thousands more in Mexico.
