MARIE Pit Bull Terrier Mix Phoenix, AZ

You really cannot get much cuter than Marie. She is a Bull Terrier mix puppy, growing each day and currently weighing 26 pounds, with a birthdate of December 22, 2019. Just months old, she found herself turned in at the county shelter with an injury. Poor little muffin had a broken jaw, and county put out a plea for additional assistance from local rescues. Home Fur Good could not resist little Marie, and took her in. By the time Marie had arrived at county, her injury was already a month or two old. HFG took her to a veterinary dental specialist, who felt the jaw was already healed and that surgery to readjust it was not a viable option. You will notice right away that her jaw is out of whack, which makes her even cuter. She did require removal of her deciduous canine since it was rubbing incorrectly in her jaw. Marie is still a puppy, and all her permanent teeth have not arrived. When those teeth do grow in, she will require a few more extractions to make sure she is not in pain and no damage is being caused by the placement of the teeth. Marie is a happy and very playful puppy. When she is adopted her new family will be required to bring her back to HFG for that necessary dental work. The adoption fee for Marie is $400, which is higher than it would be under our normal fee schedule. That is because she is one of our Guardian Angel dogs. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable adoptees, and their increased fees are used expressly to help defray costs for our rescues with special needs such as advanced medical treatment or training for behavioral issues, or for those who are with us for unusually long periods of time. In this way the Guardian Angels directly help our other rescues! All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.
