Margot's Story

Meet Margot — a gorgeous 5-year-old Mini Poodle with a stunning blue merle and white coat and the sweetest gentle soul 🩵

After spending her entire life in a puppy mill, the world is still a brand new place to Margot. She can be shy and cautious at first, but with patience and kindness, her loving personality starts to shine through. Once she feels safe, she’ll quietly ask for affection with soft little kisses, cuddles, and a desire to stay close to her person.

Margot dreams of a peaceful home where life moves at a slower pace and cozy couch time is always available. She enjoys the company of other calm dogs her size and would do best with easy-going canine friends who respect her space. Cats are unknown, but based on her gentle nature, we don’t anticipate any concerns.

Because she is still learning confidence and can be a flight risk, a physically fenced yard is required. She’s also making progress with potty training and leash walking as she adjusts to life outside the mill. No young children, please.

Every day, Margot learns a little more about trust, comfort, and being loved — and now she’s hoping to find the forever family who will continue that journey with her ❤️ Apply today!

ADOPTION FEE : $450
Please submit an application through our rescue, NOT a Petfinder inquiry
---------------------------------------
Apply to adopt here:
https://puppymillrescueteam.org/dog-adoption-application/

This dog is located in Rochester NY. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
