Meet Tina Spay / Margie

Meet Tina (Margie)!! She is about 2-3 years of age and she weighs approximately 40 lbs. She is the mom to the quite recently rescued and adopted TX2 puppies, Taylor Sniff and Tyra Barks. Both of those beautiful babies are already in loving "forever" homes and now it's mom's turn to shine. Her breed is unknown and can only be determined with a DNA test although there have been many guesses. Shortly after arriving at the high kill shelter as a stray, it was soon discovered that this little girl was pregnant. She gave birth soon afterwards to five puppies but, sadly, only two survived. Then she had to wean her puppies, have her milk dry up some and then get spayed. She has put her "motherhood" days behind her now and it is her turn to be someone's "baby girl".
Poor Margie also tested positive for heartworm disease. This was not surprising due to the fact that she was abandoned as a stray but we took care of that. It took her several months to receive her pre-treatment of doxycycline and then her actual heartworm treatment. Then she needed time to recover. Finally, she arrived on transport and went to a foster-to-adopt home.
It has been determined that Tina/Margie is not a good fit for the home that she went to. However, she is a great dog. TIna, aka "Margie" is totally house-trained and she does very well when crated. She gets along fabulously with the dogs in her current home and does not bother the cat. Unfortunately, she needs a home with someone who can give her more interaction with people and where she can go on more walks. She would be a great dog to take along on hikes. She is up-to-date with vaccinations, spayed and has no health issues. She just needs a good home where she can receive a lot of love and attention. If you think that you might be a good fit for Margie, please apply today at OneLifeToLiveRescue.com. A rescue volunteer will be in contact with you once your application has been received. Thank you for your consideration of a very sweet girl! Margie has been adopted by her foster mom. She will now be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of her life in East Scranton, PA!!
