Marcie Jane's Story

Please meet Miss Marcie Jane, our beautiful golden mix girlie who will absolutely stop you in your tracks! Marcie has been spayed, vetted, microchipped, and received a clean bill of health from our vet. Marcie's siblings have all found forever homes of their own, but this good girl is still patiently waiting her turn. Please read on for her story, and for instructions on how to request an application for her!
"
Here is what we know about MARCIE JANE:

- Marcie was born on April 21st 2025, and is about a year old now. She weighs @ 60 lbs and won't get much bigger.

- We did DNA testing on Marcie and were pleasantly surprised to find that she is a Great Pyrenees/lab/beagle/terrier mix!

- Marcie was surrendered to rescue by owners who could no longer care for her in hopes that a better forever scenario is out there for her. She would make an awesome family pet and is super eager to please. She is a friendly and sweet girl who sure is a charmer!

- Marcie is very smart but is still a puppy so she will need some consistency and refresher courses on training once she makes it to her new home. She is working on the basics including house breaking, leash walking, and overall doggy manners but we know she will thrive and have these down pat in no time once she has a permanent address to call her own!

- Marcie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.

- Marcie lives happily in her foster home with her siblings as well as other dogs and gets along just fine with them. Marcie is generally a follower, so she would love to share a home with a playful dog comparable in size that could show her the ropes. She loves to play, and a built in playmate would be awesome!

- There are also cats in Marcie’s foster home, and she co-habits well with them.

- Marcie would make a great family dog for kids 5+. She is very docile, but any young children would need to know how to respect doggy boundaries, especially while Marcie is still a puppy. She sure would love a human sibling to play in the yard with!

What we love about Marcie: She really does have the best disposition!

Is Marcie the one for you? If so, she's got her doggie bags packed and is ready to make her way home to you! Her adoption fee is $325! That covers all of her vetting and care up until the point of adoption.

If interested, please reach out to Brittany at Brittany.pacne@gmail.com and she will break down the adoption process for you and send you an application link!

*Paws & Claws New England, a/k/a Paws and Claws Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization made up of volunteers and fosters who devote their time and love to help save homeless dogs and cats.
