Meet the marvelous Miss Marcie! Marcie is a gem of a dog whose shiny black coat is only rivaled by her adorable face and winning personality. At a smidge over one year old, Marcie has excellent manners and a gentle demeanor all wrapped up into a perfect 40 pound package. She lives with small dogs and cats and gets along with everyone. She still has puppy energy, so she'll require a good amount of daily exercise and playtime. She’s a happy girl who's eager to please, loves affection and will make a most excellent companion to a very lucky family!

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
