Maple

Maple is a 10-month old Bloodhound and GSD mix, and is everything you want in a goofy working breed. At 47lbs, she is a little underweight, but we expect she'll be a large dog when fully grown (60sih pounds). <br/><br/>Like most hounds, Maple is sensitive, affectionate, super dog and kid friendly, and energetic. She loves to play with her foster brother and neighbor dogs, loves playing fetch with her foster parents, and also enjoys a good nap! <br/><br/>She is house-trained, and while she does not like the crate, she will go in at night and when her foster family leaves the house. She is a curious puppy and led by her nose, so keeping her secure when you're not present is important for her safety. <br/><br/>Maple's perfect forever family has a secure, fenced-in yard (this is a must), another dog pal for her to play with (not essential, but preferred), and are active - Maple loves her morning and afternoon walks, and it helps expend her puppy energy. We've also been toying around with some nose work games (see video) to help her tap into the scent hound part of her. At night, Maple likes to sprawl out on a dog bed with a bone or have some cuddle time with one of the humans. <br/><br/>NOTE: Maple is not cat friendly and we will not risk the safety of resident cats by placing her in a home with cats. <br/><br/>Maple is spayed and ready for adoption, so put in your application and scoop this hound girl up!
